A visit to a private garden in Wiltshire whose owner has created a spectacular contemporary meadow and a tour of an acclaimed new sculpture park and art gallery

In just four years David Morrison has fulfilled an ambition to grow from seed a dramatic modern perennial meadow that covers several acres and fills the near horizon behind his home, Wudston House. The meadow mix, designed by James Hitchmough (creator of the Olympic Park meadow) includes plants from Europe, Asia, North and South America. Around the house are exotic borders by Nick Macer of Pan Global Plans, and beyond the meadow, an ever-expanding arboretum. After lunch at the Malet Arms, Newton Tony, on to the New Art Centre at Roche Court where the landscaped grounds provide a magnificent setting for works of art at the country's new, small and well-regarded private sculpture park. We'll be given a tour of the 25-acre park and an opportunity to see current exhibitions at the gallery and the Artist's House.
